Hurricane Valley Commonwealth
Welcome
Our mission as Hurricane Valley Commonwealth families is to become leaders for freedom by strengthening our community, studying classics, and searching for truth. As a commonwealth community we are a positive influence to those around us. We strive to learn all that we can and use our knowledge to change the world for the better. Through our actions, we inspire others to see more, do more, and to become the leaders of tomorrow.

What is Hurricane Valley Commonwealth (aka HVC)?
-
We are a FAMILY school.
-
We support, strengthen, and help families as they strive to raise their children to be leaders, statesmen and entrepreneurs.
-
We build community as we create meaningful, educational learning opportunities for youth and their families in the Hurricane Valley homeschool area.
-
Families of HVC meet once a week to participate in mentored projects and classes. Youth learn to think, speak, write, debate, and become a force for good in the world.
-
To ensure quality, our scholar mentors are trained by and implement the methodology taught by the Leadership Education Mentoring Institute (LEMI).
-
Our educational principles are based on those found in A Thomas Jefferson Education: Teaching a Generation of Leaders for the Twenty-First Century by Oliver DeMille.
